Great start into season 2016

We started the new season with being first in the Gießen Tourney, after beating Gießen and Mannheim. We were supposed to play the finals against the Braves from Büchenbeuren, but they had to forfeit bc of their long way home and the round robin next day in Aschaffenburg (and another long ride for them).

In Aschaffenburg, we also beated Dreieich and Marburg, but lost against Darmstadt. I think after the winter break, we are not used to play many games two days in a row. So it is time that softball season is back and we all get our condition back.

Nevertheless, a successful start into the season.

2nd Wooden Cleats Tourney in Nieuwegein

Great job this weekend Flyers. We went 3 and 5 in the round robin games beating the Raptors, Braves and Lakers. We lost by one run to the DD and we lead against the Dutch National Team through the whole game and then lost by one run. We played our last game against the Braves for 5th or 6th place. It was a back and fourth battle for the game to be tied and had to go to extra innings. We lost in the extra inning 4 – 0. Everyone played their heart out and played very well. The Flyers left Holland with the 6th Place trophie. For the 2 players that got hurt, take it easy and rest up and get better.

Once again, i would like to thank all the team members that went to the tournament and for all the ones that didn’t thank you for supporting us. This is the best group of people i have had the pleasure of working with and coaching. Watching you guys play and getting better and better every time you play gives me a great feeling as a coach.

End of RML season 2013

Season is over. It was fun, exciting, it was great. Team white ended on place two, team black on place 9.

Now it is time for practice in gym. We will be back. Take care.

7 games at the Wiesbaden field

Sunday, both teams are going to have games at the homefield.
Starting at 9, there will be the following games:

  • Team Black against Dreieich Vultures
  • Dreieich Vultures against Babenhausen Blue Devils
  • Babenhausen Blue Devils against Team Black

Around 12:30, the next game round starts:

  • Team White against Aschaffenburg Mohawks
  • JEF Frankfurt against Marburg Knights
  • Aschaffenburg Mohawks against JEF Frankfurt
  • Marburg Knight against Team White

There will be burger, hotdogs, cake, muffins and a lot of good stuff. Come and enjoy.
